UCC 5 Semester Sandwich Admissions For 2025/2026.

The University of Cape Coast, through the Institute of Education, calls for applications into the 5-Semester Bachelor of Education Programmes (Sandwich). This is to inform the general public that application forms are outfor the 2025/2026 academic year.

Forms are now on sale and will continue until the 31^st of March 2025.

The programme is expected to commences in April, 2025.

This programme has been designed for persons interested in teaching Senior High School subjects.

• Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences)
• Bachelor of Education (Social Studies)
• Bachelor of Education (Home Economics)
• Bachelor of Education (Arts)
• Bachelor of Education (Management)
• Bachelor of Education (Information Technology)

Requirements for the Above programmes

1. Bachelor of Education (Science)

Applicants interested in the above programme should have Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Creditsin any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Elective Mathematics in SSSCE/WASSCE.

2. Bachelor of Education (Mathematics)

Applicants interested in the above programme should have:

Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Credit in Elective Mathematics with Chemistry or Physics, Economics in SSSCE/WASSCE

3. Bachelor of Education (Arts)

Applicants interested in the above programme should have:

Diploma in Basic Education with Credits in any twoof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE:

History, Christian/Islamic Religious Studies, French, Literature in English, Ghanaian Language

4. Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences)

Applicants interested in the above programme should have Diploma in Basic Education with Credits in any twoof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Geography, Elective Mathematics.

5. Bachelor of Education (Social Studies)

Applicants who want to pursue the above programme should have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Geography and any oneof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, History and Government.

6. Bachelor of Education (Home Economics)

Applicants who want to pursue the above programme should have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any twoof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Food and Nutrition, Clothing and textiles, Management in living or General Knowledge in Arts, Biology and Chemistry.

7. Bachelor of Education (Management)

Applicants seeking admission into the above programme must have:

Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Business Management and any twoof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Accounting, Costing, Economics, Elective Mathematics

8. Bachelor of Education (Accounting)

Applicants seeking admission into the above programme must have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Accounting and any twoof the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Business Management, Costing, Economics, Elective Mathematics.

9. Bachelor of Education (Information Technology)

Applicants who want to pursue the above programme should have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Elective Mathematics.
