UCC 3 Semester Sandwich Admissions open for the 2025/2026 academic year for qualified applicants to turn in their applications.
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) offers a range of sandwich programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Among these is the 3-semester Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) sandwich programmes which are designed specifically for basic school teachers with a Diploma in Basic Education, enabling them to earn a bachelor’s degree through the sandwich mode.
These programmes, developed by UCC’s Institute of Education in collaboration with the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), offer a flexible route to higher education.
Teachers do not need to take a study leave, whether with pay or without pay, as the courses are scheduled during school vacations when teachers are on break.
The programme spans three long vacations, with each vacation period featuring 6 weeks of intensive engagement.
The 3-semester Bachelor of Education programmes available at UCC are as follows:
- B.Ed. (Post Diploma) Early Childhood Education
- B.Ed. (Post Diploma) Primary Education
- B.Ed. (Post Diploma) Junior High School (JHS) Education
These courses are offered at various UCC satellite campuses and centres across the country.
