The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) hereby announces that it is accepting applications from qualified and interested candidates for admission for the 2025/2026 academic year.

These admissions cover the Four-Year Bachelor of Education programmes offered by all forty-six public Colleges of Education in Ghana.

Application forms for the 2025/2026 academic cycle are currently available and will remain on sale until Sunday, 31 August 2025.

Programmes on Offer for the 2025/2026 Academic Year

The forty-six public colleges collectively provide the following four-year Bachelor of Education options:

  1. Early Grade (Early Childhood) Education
  2. Primary Education
  3. Junior High School (JHS) Education

The 4-Year B.Ed. JHS programme offers applicants the opportunity to specialise in a specific teaching subject for subsequent instruction at the junior-high level.

These subject areas include Science, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, ICT, Home Economics, Music, Visual Arts, Social Studies, Geography, History, English, a variety of Ghanaian Languages (Asante-Twi, Akuapim-Twi, Dagaare, Dagbani, Dangme, Ewe, Fante, Ga, Gonja, Gurene, Kasem, Nzema), as well as French and Arabic.

General Admission Requirements

WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants

  • WASSCE: Candidates must obtain CREDIT PASSES (A1 – C6) in six subjects: three Core—English Language, Core Mathematics, and either Integrated Science or Social Studies—plus three relevant Electives.
  • SSSCE: Candidates must secure CREDIT PASSES (A – D) in six subjects: the same trio of Core subjects and three pertinent Electives.

Alternative Qualifications
Applications are also welcomed from holders of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level, the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) credentials, and recognised foreign qualifications.

Admission Requirements for Applicants with Special Needs

Prospective students with special needs should choose colleges equipped to meet their particular requirements.

Visually Impaired Applicants

  • WASSCE: Credit passes (A1 – C6) in two Core subjects—English Language and Social Studies—plus three relevant Elective credits.
  • SSSCE: Credit passes (A – D) in English Language, Social Studies, and three related Electives.
    Facilities for visually impaired students are available at N.J. Ahmadiyya College of Education (Wa), Wesley College of Education (Kumasi), and Presbyterian College of Education (Akropong).

Hearing Impaired Applicants

  • WASSCE: Credit passes (A1 – C6) in three Core subjects—English Language, Mathematics, and either Integrated Science or Social Studies—and three related Electives.
  • SSSCE: Credit passes (A – D) in English Language, Mathematics, and three appropriate Electives.

Application Procedure

Prospective candidates must purchase an application form for Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 300.00) through either of the following payment channels:

  1. Bank Payment: Deposit the fee into the “Colleges of Education, Ghana” account at any branch of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) Limited.
  2. Mobile Money: Dial 9248# to pay via Tigo Cash, Vodafone Cash, Airtel Money, or MTN Mobile Money.

Upon completing payment, applicants will receive:

  • A Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • An Admission Application Serial Number
  • The Admission Portal Address
