
Earlier this year 2025, PRINCOF announced admissions for qualified applicants to apply for admissions into their four-year bachelor of education programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. Out of the 46 public colleges of education in Ghana, only few of them are equipped with the facilities to train prospective teachers with special needs.
Kindly note that admission forms are currently on sale and will continue until the 31st of august 2025.
Below is the list of colleges of education with facilities for special needs applicants and their entry requirements.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED APPLICANTS
For visually impaired applicants, study facilities are available at the following colleges:
- N.J. Ahmadiyya, College of Education, Wa
- Wesley College of Education, Kumasi
- Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants holding WASSCE results should have Credit Passes (A1-C6) in two (2) CORE subjects including English Language and Social Studies and three (3) credit passes in relevant elective subjects.
- Applicants with SSSCE results must have credit Passes (A-D) in two (2) CORE subjects including English Language and Social Studies, in addition to three (3) credit passes in relevant elective subjects.
HEARING IMPAIRED APPLICANTS
For hearing impaired applicants, study facilities are available at Presbyterian College of Education, AKROPONG.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants holding WASSCE results should have Credit passes (A1-C6) in three (3) CORE subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies, in addition to three (3) credit passes in relevant Elective subjects.
- Applicants holding SSSCE results should have credit Passes (A-D) in Two (2) CORE subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to three (3) credit passes in relevant Elective subjects.
Online Application Process
Applicants can make a payment of Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS350.00) into the Colleges of Education, Ghana Account at any branch of the Consolidated Bank, Ghana (CBG) Limited.
Alternatively, applicants can also make payment from their mobile money wallets including Tigo Cash, Vodafone cash, Airtel Money, and MTN Mobile Money by dialing short code *924*8# from all networks.
Upon successful payment, applicants will receive the following key information:
- Personal Identification Number (PIN).
- An Admission Application Serial Number.
- The Admission Website Address: admission.coeportal.edu.gh
